native apps,
woven from jsx
in rust.

issue · 04 · the loom

uzor is a small rust library that reads jsx-like documents and weaves them into native binaries. no browser, no wrapper, no shell.

five primitives — render, animation, click-dispatch, layout and dock — held to floor weights, kept readable, kept small. presets choose the cloth; surfaces choose the window; the binary stands on its own at the operating system door.

this issue: principles, weights, pillars, dock.

i. rendercolour · paint · shape

shapes are poured once and stand. no virtual layer hovers between intent and pixel; the rust binary draws straight to the surface and signs the receipt itself.

one shader. one pass. one cheap rectangle at a time.

ii. eventsclick · key · drag

events are reported by the wall to the room, by the room to the floor. no observer, no middleman, no ceremony.

each handler is a function on a tree. each tree is a binary. each binary is yours.

iii. layoutflex · grid · dock

three load-bearing systems. anything that does not fit one of them is a poster, not a ui. dock makes corners hold; grid makes squares square; flex makes the rest fall.

nothing else is admitted.
